I Matter

I matter to me today and always, no matter what you think or say.

I am tenacious and kind in every way.

I matter not because of the color of my skin, the way I walk, the way I talk, or for my ability to see.

I matter because I have been put on this earth to make a difference for myself and you.

I matter because I am someone you can talk to.

I matter because I can feel the peace and presence surrounding me every day as I take that breath of fresh air. 

I matter because I do care.

I matter just because I am a child of God in every way.

I matter because I am here to stay.

I matter most because I am the light that shines even when there’s no sunshine coming from the East or West.

I matter because I am here to do my best.

I matter because I need your support and love.

I matter most because of the man above.

I matter because you have touched my heart and soul throughout the years.

I matter because you’ve helped me to wipe away my tears. 

I always matter just because I MATTER!
